I finally managed to get my Chaos Terminator Sorcerer model completed this morning and I am now glad to present you the final product. Chaos Sorcerers FTW. :D

I apologise for the washed colours and shadows from the lens. This is what happens when you try to take macros with a wide angle lens.

A few bits of knowledge for those curious:

The purple armour was painted quite easily. With the model primed black all I did was paint around the edges (except the shoulder guards) and add some highlights to make it appear as such. It's generally a good way to paint dark armour.

And just in case you can't see it, the helmet is actually painted with a mix of silver metallic paint with some purple thrown in. This helps give the metal a lovely purple cast and can be applied to any colour. Handy if you can't decide on purple or silver. Just do both. :p

Anyhoo, feedback is always welcome. My next submission will hopefully be something more along the lines of a PS related drawing of sorts. I think I've learned enough of patience and colour from miniature painting to try my hand at drawing and actually persist and do good.

Thanks CW. :D I'm quite glad this one is over actually. it turned out well enough, yes, but the model had some areas that proved a pain to get at properly. Plus highlighting such dark areas with pink can be a bit touch and go but the rest of the model detail helps subdue the effect.

Anyway, all done now. At least when I get to drawing I can look forward to some changes, such as no more holding my breath and cutting down project times from 3 days to 3 hours. :p

Radical work, Xander! Seriously -- you have my respect. The detail you have given your work shows. Very nice!

Thanks for the kind words RW. :D I can actually see now that the purple in the helmet actually shows up a little.

Thanks for sharing you two! :D While I've said I'll be exchanging this for drawing in the future, who's to say I might not have to scratch the itch for this at some point? ;)

Also, Lucas, he may look fiercely awesome, but if you want more awesome then Sindri, the Chaos Sorcerer from Dawn of War, is by far the most awesome and pretty much everything that makes them such cool villains.

Sorry for the vid, I just figured out how to get it to work, let you see what I mean. :p

No worries Tanith. Any feedback is greatly appreciated, be it just a thumbs up or something relating to technique. Besides, I used to post some of my stuff on a dedicated gallery and was lucky if I even got a rating, nevermind comments. Strange thing.

And I'm looking forward to submitting some PS drawings, good or not. :p Just got to go look out my sister's old stuff and see what I need to add to it.
