Althea Plushie

(It's technically not PS-based, so I didn't make it an "official" artwork topic and add it to the galleries, but I figure the numan/newman ears still make her sorta relevant. ;) )

Anyhoo, this is a plushie I did for Xander of one of his original characters. She's probably the most clothed female I've done, and I had fun with the details. The zipper is actually a straight line, despite what my crappy photography might indicate. I think this is the most satisfied I've ever been with a plushie's bangs (or "fringe" as they say across the pond)! If you want to see the pictures I worked from, they're in Xander's deviantArt gallery, I believe.

Well, she certainly wears more clothes than her PSO2 incarnation. As seen here. Dem abs!

Great stuff anyways. Looking forward to coming along and taking her off your hands. :D Though I am a little disappointed you didn't include the voicebox as requested originally. I was looking forward to taking her around and making her swear, and curse and say mean, mean words to all the annoying people out there. Would've been fun. Oh well....

So yeah, awesome. ;D

She's cute!!! Love the ears!! The bangs and hair look really good. You mentioned a zipper...does that mean that the clothes are removable and replaceable?? If so, it would be so much fun having various outfits to try on her and play dress up, etc. Excellent work Jen!!

Nope. She was, in fact, referring to the zipper on the front of her jacket, as seen here:

Her clothes are not interchangeable. However, there's plenty proof that her kit does come off.... http://i1037.photobucket.com/albums/a45 ... c32258.png

The only time I made a plushie with removable clothing was H-Man's Mieu plushie with the wedding dress that could be ripped off. :D Generally speaking, if I wanted all the clothes to be removable, either 1) the clothes would have to be pretty loose, and I think that would look sloppy, or 2) I'd have to put snaps/velcro/other closures on there, and depending on the design, that would make more work for me (and my prices would have to go up ;) ).

So the short answer (which Xander already provided) is: nope, the "zipper" is just for show!

Thanks for your kind words!

And, for those that may have forgotten what she looked like, here is a link to see the adorable Mieu plushie that Jen made previously and is referring to in the post above:
