Well, it seems tropical storm Isaac may be close to becoming a hurricane and may be headed for New Orleans:

People are already evacuating the projected storm areas.

Everyone remembers Hurricane Katrina in that area years ago I'm sure.

Let's hope for the best and that this storm will die or fade away!!!!

Unfortunately, the storm isn't going away. The Gulf of Mexico is an extremely favorable area for tropical storm formation/development this time of year. The most we can hope for is that people heed evacuation warnings, and that it doesn't become a major hurricane by the time it makes landfall.
