Phantasy Star: Fringes of Algo

What do you all think of PSO: Episode III? It was even more of a departure from the traditional series than the rest of PSO, with the introduction of the card systems. I've not tried it myself, but I'm curious to hear your opinions on it.

I've only played I, II, and IV. I don't own a Gamecube.

I thought it was... interesting..
Weapons and monsters.. I preferred the latter.

But uh.. it was decent, yeah :3

The concept sounds like a game I wouldn't like. I've played a few games that made heavy use of card systems like that, but I never really enjoyed any of them.

Which games would those be?

The only game I have ever played that was even close was Duelists of the Roses. Even then, it was only half similar, with the monsters.

It's been a while, so I don't really remember the names of the other games. I just recall that I generally haven't liked games that relied on card systems a lot.
