Age is only a state of mind. You are as young, or old, as you feel.

That sounds awful, though. And I'll probalby miss them horribly when they're out of the house. My kids are only a year apart in age, so barring one or more of them being bums, the empty nest will happen quickly.

I meant, it sounds awful that I'm looking forward to my kids getting out of the house.

Depending on what they do Tan, isn't there a chance they may leave home sooner?

No. Their birthdays are in the Fall which means they're older than most of their peer group. Unless they become super geniuses and skip grades, they'll be 18 when they graduate from high school.

I suppose they could drop out and run away, but I'm not hoping for that at all.

Ah of course, things work a little differently in the states don't they? There's the whole graduationf rom high school thing

Here you can leave school when you hit 16 and that's that.
