Legend of Korra

Postby Celeith » Fri Apr 6, '12, 11:07 pm

For those who enjoyed Avatar: The last airbender, The Legend of Korra, the new Avatar series is coming out next week on the 14th. Something called the Path to Korra is coming on Nick at 2pm on Monday and I hope to get to see it, if not I hope at least a re-run will come on. Check it out if you liked the series.

I watched the first two episodes a few weeks ago. Nick had them online for one weekend to promote the show. It's a good show. People who liked Last Airbender will likely enjoy it a lot. It has a lot of the shame charm and style of humor as the original series, but quickly establishes a unique identity so that it isn't just a rehash of Last Airbender.

If you miss it on TV, Nick will probably post it on their site a day or two after it airs. They do that with a lot of other shows.

I just watched the first episode online and I have to say I enjoyed every bit of it. I hope Korra's character gets fleshed out well like Aangs did.

The second episode is also online, if you want to watch that. It introduces some characters who I expect will be a major part of the series as it continues. There's also some nice interaction with Korra and her teacher. It really reminds of the original show, even while it is doing new things. There is some great world building in these first couple of episodes.
