Bumping this up for the 11th Anniversary of 9/11/2001.

Wolf Bird has posted some terrific links in the posts above regarding the 9/ll TV news footage...check them out!!!

There will probably be lots of memorials tomorrow in honor of the day but I haven't noticed or heard of any yet. If anyone knows of any...please post them here. I'm sure the TV networks will have lots of coverage of anything.

Here is one article I found regarding 9/ll and the aftermath effects that are still being felt up to this day by survivors and first responders on that tragic day:

Sad day for all concerned.

12th Anniversary of the tragic events of 9/11 (September 11, 2001) on today Wednesday, September 11, 2013. Even 12 years later the events of that day still haunt many of us here in the USA and other countries and especially those who were family members or friends of the many who lost their lives that day and those that have died since that day from effects suffered on or during that occasion. It is a day that we will never forget. One seared into our hearts and souls from living, or just watching, the tragic events of that day unfold. It forever changed us. Today we remember, we honor those who lost their lives, we pray for their families and loved ones, and most of all we pray for guidance and peace.

To help in honoring 9/ll here is a link to an article about a new building being built and ready to open sometime next year which is close to where the twin towers once stood:

Fascinating way they built this new building with the extra safety guards, etc. I only hope they work as well as they were designed to work.

If anyone would like to share your thoughts on 9/ll, please feel free to do so here.

13th Anniversary of the events of 9/11/2001 being remembered on today, September 11, 2014. A day many Americans and others will never forget. Today we remember the events, the people who died and the first responders, and the victims families. Our hearts go out to them all.

Found an interesting article related to the newly opened 9/11 museum and then also a link to the museum itself:

Friday will be September 11, 2015 and the 14th Anniversary of the attack on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon in the United States, otherwise known as 9/ll or Patriot Day as it has come to be referred to.

Do you remember where you were and what you were doing that fatal day as you heard these events were taking place, or as you watched them happen on Television? Many people will never forget.

Remembering all those that lost their lives that day, and all those that have passed away from related illnesses years later. Lives were lost, hearts were touched and broken, and for many life would never be the same again.

Remembering the events of 9/ll today, tomorrow, and forever! :usa:

I was at school. I think I saw the news at the cafeteria.

It was horrible, and I couldn't stand to imagine what it would be like to be there for more than a few seconds.

But I know things like this happen all the time in the rest of the world, and the loss of lives there are just as tragic. I wish for a world where something like this stops happening not only in the USA, but everywhere.

Sunday, September 11, 2016 will be the 15th Anniversary of the events of 9/11 when so many lost their lives in several terrorist attacks in the USA! Hard to believe it has been fifteen years already when in some ways it seems like only yesterday. So many lives lost and so many families hurting over lost loved ones then and now and still so many lives changed due to illness, PTSD, and other effects of that terrible day!

Our hearts still grieve, and always will, on this tragic anniversary which shall forever be remembered for those lives lost and those lives changed because of this tragic event.

Update 9/12/2016: Shocking to read yesterday that there are still over 1000 victims who have not been properly identified and remains recovered from the 9/ll tragedy:
