Manuel Noriega, ex-dictator of Panama, is sueing Activision over the supposed use of his likeness without his permission:

Wow, I had no idea that he was even still around anywhere. :blank:

He's still alive? Ah well. I'm sure this probably falls under the legal protections afforded to fictional works. Perhaps Activision will be more careful in the future, but I can't see them losing this lawsuit if it even makes it to court.

I guess this is going to be the new thing huh? First Lindsay Lohan and now this. When will it end? It must be really hard to be a game developer these days. You know, to make characters that resemble NOBODY.

I could image how it would go:

Person 1: "Hey, here's the new enemy design I was telling you about"

Person 2: "Oh, it's good, really good..............but you know what? If you look at the character model this way, it kind of looks like Weird AL."

Person 1: "Ooookay, I'll start over........"

Read an article yesterday that says Activision has hired former New York Mayor Rudolph Guilliani as their Attorney in this case.

Man, I'd love to be courtside for this trial, lol.
