If you have written your own fan fiction and would like to post it in the forums, here's what you need to know.
- Posting a fan fiction is very similar to posting in the rest of the forum. To post the first chapter of your story (or the whole story, if there's only one chapter) click the "New Topic" button in the Fan Fiction forum.
- If there is a sub-forum under Fan Fiction that fits your story, use the "New Topic" button in that sub-forum to post it there (for example, to post a PSIII story, go to the PSIII sub-forum and post). If there isn't a sub-forum that fits or you are unsure, just post in the main Fan Fiction forum.
- When you post the first chapter of a story, a matching thread is automatically created in the Fan Fiction -> Reviews sub-forum. Readers will be able to comment on your story by posting in the Reviews thread or using a comment form displayed at the bottom of your story.
- To post additional chapters, use the "Reply" button in your story's topic. The "Reply" button appears only to the creator of the topic and site staff.
- Each story chapter will be given a separate page in the topic.
- You can use BBCode and Smilies, just like in normal posts.
- Remember that even fan fiction must follow the Participation Guidelines. Take note of the Fan Fiction Guidelines section there!
So in short, posting fan fiction is just like posting a normal message. The format of this section is just a little different to give greater emphasis to the stories. If you have any questions about posting fan fiction, feel free to ask by posting in the
Member Feedback forum or by sending me a message or
