Found an interesting article on "Smallville" and the episode tonight. It sounds awesome - especially the nods to the previous Superman show/movie connections.

I read that the Justice League (aquaman, green arrow, etc.) are coming back to Smallville during this next season. Sounds interesting:

I read that Lex Luthor's dad is really dead too. I wonder, though, is anyone ever "really dead" in tvland?

Very interesting that she and Superman are " compatible ", so to speak, and might be able to have children.
Anyone know anything from the comic books, elsewhere, about this villian?????

Huh, Maxima! That's a big surprise, but I think I see where they might be going with that. In the comics, she's basically what the article said. She is an alien princess (very snobby) who comes to Earth looking for a mate and decides on Superman, whether he likes it or not. She was a villain for a while, but later started to reform and even joined the Justice League shortly before the Death of Superman storyline. And of course Doomsday, also mentioned in that article was the creature that killed Superman. This could all tie in to make an interesting story on the show.

has the new season already started? I haven't been watching CW in awhile so I'm not sure. I kinda miss it being called WB cuz thats what I grew up on, this CW crap is annoying, the channel messes up so much, way more then when WB had it..

Apparently, the new season started last night, even though it was advertised to start in October. I just now found out, so I missed it entirely. Anyone get to see it?

Yeah.  It makes me wonder if this might be the last season, because this network has a habit of showing poor support for their programming if they know it's going to end soon.
