Michelle Obama or Cindy McCain - who do you think would make the best next "First Lady", and why?

Hm, I really don't know much about either. I haven't even heard McCain's wife's name before. I'm not sure Obama is cut out for it, though, after that comment about never being proud of the country before.

I really can't decide between the two. There are things about both of them that I like and admire, and then there are things about both of them which I don't like. I guess that's about normal.
I guess it doesn't really matter as their husbands are the main political candidates, however, one of them may soon be our First Lady, so maybe we need to get to know both of them better. Just saying.

it's the first lady, not the person running the country. i was unaware that a president's partner even mattered. american politics are really silly, sometimes.
cooper, today you remind me of a small mexican chihuahua

The First Lady often takes an activist role to promote various causes that are sometimes political. Stuff like improving the education system or health concerns. It's true that they don't have specific political powers like the President, but they can influence politics if they want to get involved enough.
