I believe the reason is that he knew she was there, for 2 years, he knew she was there, and the thought of calling the police, or psychiatrist, or anyone never really seemed to cross his mind. Obviously, such an act is not normal, to say the least, yet he did nothing to stop it... My opinion, anyhow.

He's probably being charged for not getting her help earlier. Like Reno said, she's not understanding, so basically she was mentally ill or something along those lines. She needed help after the first day of refusing to get up, not two years later when she's going to be stuck in a wheelchair.

Yeah, the article said he was charged with "mistreatment of a dependent adult", which I take to mean that she was dependent since she was unable to care for herself or unable to make herself leave the bathroom for such a long period of time, etc., and since he was there and knew about the situation but did not do anything about it to get her some kind of help, etc., for so long, that he was responsible, etc. I can understand that. I can also understand his feelings and statements too, though, as sometimes you try to do things for people the best way you can, even if it doesn't turn out to be the " right " way or "right" thing to do. It's a sad situation all the way around. You always think you've "heard it all" but there is always some new story or situation that eventually comes along.

Wow, there's a really dumb move. I mean seriously, leaving your phone number at a place you're going to rob? That's just like begging to get arrested.

lol, Tis the end of the world! What would really suck is if the world really did end, and they were the only ones to survive. XD

You represent... apathy. You don't really show any emotion. You can be considered cruel and cold, but you just don't really care about anything. This is just the way you are... you're quite a challenge to get close to, and others may perceive you as boring.
Zeus was the Greek excuse for having no logical explination for lightning. Hades was for the death that baffled them. Posiedon tore apart at their shores. So Athena must have explained the people who didn't believe in the gods.

Heard about this one on TV this morning and found a link online about it. It is the annual " Stupid Day Parade " held yesterday (April 1). Oh well, some people will parade for just about anything, lol.

Ouch... I bet the insurance company isn't going to be happy to hear about that. That's a huge amount of money they'll have to pay out.
