This is not even worth noting, IMO. Robertson has made some crazy statements in the last few years. At times, I think he may have really lost his mind.

I heard on the news the other day that Pat Robertson has stepped down from the day to day operations of the CBN, I believe it was, and his son has taken over. Mr. Robertson is still basically in charge of it all, though, I think. He just isn't doing the day to day thing any more. I wonder if this is partly because of his age, and partly because of some of the questionable statements and attitudes he has vocalized lately. :hmm:

It looks like Oprah's campaigning for Obama did very well over the weekend. They gathered huge crowds wherever they went and Obama's standing has gone up considerably.

I haven't heard anything about how the campaigning went over the weekend with Hillary and her secret weapon, Bill, yet?

I don't think Bill counts as anything remotely secret. Whether or not he'll be any benefit to her is debatable too. He didn't have a great track record in office. ;)

Nobody can counter Oprah's affect on the public. Her influence has become a serious force to be reckoned with. Obama is luck to have her support.

As for Robertson... it's probably his age that prompted him to step down. He should be getting up there in years now. I doubt it was the comments really; he seems to be one of those figures who can get away with that sort of thing.

Another endorsement for Mike Huckabee - one of the founders or leaders of The Minute Men group (who patrol the borders watching for illegal immigrants entering the US) - has come out for Mr. Huckabee as a Presidential candidate. Although this is not a "star" endorsement, so to speak, it does carry it's own whallop and impact in a big way.

Lately, Huckabee is gaining endorsements left and right, here and yon, and everywhere. :D He is picking up steam where other candidates are losing steam heavily, such as Fred Thompson. I really thought Fred Thompson had a good chance at winning this thing several months ago, but now I am beginning to have my doubts on that. This campaign is still wide open I think.

Oh yeah, I just saw on Bill O'Reilly's show that Mike Huckabee is on the cover of Newsweek magazine too. Hmmm, I wonder if that is an endorsement or just a story????

The magazine cover is probably just a story.

I saw a brief portion of an interview with Romney yesterday. The interviewer asked what he thought about Huckabee's recent popularity and Romney had a pretty good answer. He said, this happens with every candidate at some point. Thompson was popular for a while, and others before them, but none have kept it going. It will be interesting to see if Huckabee can maintain this level where the others could not.

Boy, I tell you, Huckabee has lost a lot of weight in the last few years for some reason. I saw a clip of him that was from 2003, I think it was, and he was very heavy - not like he is now. I wonder how he lost all that weight?

Saw this bit of news where actor Sean Astin (Sam, "Lord Of The Rings") is out campaigning for Hillary Clinton, and thought some of you might enjoy seeing it.

I love that heading "Hobbits for Hillary", lol.

sort of off topic, sort of not, but anyway i saw on tv where they said that hillary was related to angelina jolie and obama was related to brad pitt. something like 9th cousins each. some guy did a study on their genealogy. i thought that was sorta cool. 8)
