Alys' second slasher, purchased from a store, reminds me of some in Phantasy Star IV a great deal. It appears to be two blades attacked to a central pivot, allowing the blades to be folded in for easy storage. These are handy weapons, but I bet Alys had to wear thick gloves to be able to catch them without cutting her hand.
