After having defeated Dark Force, the grandson of Rhys was overcome with anger at finding a city filled with evil people worshipping the destroyer. This triggered the Megido technique he had learned. The explosion of Megido's fiery power destroyed the city.

It always shows the same pictures at the end, unfortunately. Still, PSIII's cutscenes weren't that bad.

It is a pity they couldn't spend a little extra time on the cutscenes. At least the game did have some, that's more than a lot of games did back then.

Yeah, it's neat how he's silhouetted against the explosion. It really gets the point of his anger raging forth across very well.
