How's the offline mode?

I don't mind anime style presentation, but it's a very odd thing to have in a video game. When I finish a chapter, I don't want to see a preview of the next chapter. I'd rather just jump right into playing it, you know? It's not like having to wait a week to see the next episode of a show.

So, would you say the story is better in Illuminus than in the original? If so, I might try to grab it when the price drops a bit too.

Offline mode with Ethan is great. You can take on a variety of roles depending on which type or attack style you choose. You can be a mage, ranger, or hunter. Each one has its persk and downfalls. Extra mode is decent, though it can be annoying at times.
