Have you ever played a game that you really enjoyed, then asked friends about it and they hadn't heard of the game? If you have, tell us about them here! :)

A great game I played was Septerra Core for PC. It plays a lot like a classic Super Nintendo RPG and is very reminiscent of games like Final Fantasy and Chrono Trigger.

Terranigma is a fun game most people haven't heard of. It was for the SNES, but only released in Japan and Europe. The was the third in a series and sequel to Soul Blazer and Illusion of Gaia.

Master of Monsters: Disciples of Gaia. That was really fun, although it was quite hard to keep levelling your creatures, as well as your Disciple. AND there was the whole merging process that took a lot of people by surprise when they got that stupid Slime... But it had really good defence to all non-magic attacks, and was quite a strong fellow. It was kind of anime-style, too. I think it was originally released on the SNES, but I had the PS1 re-release version.

Subterrania and Beyond Oasis for the Genesis. Beyond Oasis is an action RPG similar to the older Zelda titles that is really good. You play a prince who finds a golden armlet that was used in an ancient duel between two sorcerers, and now you use it to summon spirits embodying the elements of the world. The spirits do nifty things like heal wounds, destroy barriers of sorts, protect you from falling, and seeing hidden secrets. Subterrania is an action shooter where you fight alien attackers and rescue stranded P.O.W.s while watching your fuel. Both are very fun games if you can get your hands on them.

I think I remember Subterrania. Well, I'm not sure if I ever played it, but I remember seeing a poster for it recently. I think it might have been something from a video game magazine I had once.

I thought of another one recently: Secret of the Stars for the SNES. It's a great little RPG that most people overlooked.

Beyond Oasis was named Story of Thor over here, I thoroughly enjoyed it!

A rather unknown game... hmm.. Illusion of Gaia, I think was the name, it's for the SNES, another psuedo-zelda game. Absolutely brilliant. I'm glad we live in an age of Roms and Emulators where.. I was able to re-find the game after.. well over.. eight years I think..

I have to say Star Control 2 for the 3D0(Betamax of video games) and for the PC, even though I've been touting it in other places already. That game is simply brilliant, and I've never met anyone else that has heard of it. When I introduce them to it, they all love it too!

Turok 3 for N64, it's fairly underrated because it was released around the time of goldeneye 007.

Sweet. I played Septerra Core a long time ago, and I found it to be a great game. Nothing special, but well made, and worth the $9 I payed for it.
Currently Playing: Final Fantasy I & II: Dawn of Souls (GBA)

Currently Watching: Ah! My Goddess
